Hey,
You proppably came here from
SLAYRadio or
Remix64.
Disclaimer: I'm no musician, not even a producer..
I'd just like to do a remake of a childhood theme..
So I'm not liable for any damage to your ears or sanity.

To get the melody out of the SID I use a registered copy of
SID2MIDI (only 10 Euros').. The linux version isn't all that good so I'm using a little
Wine..
Contrary to some other people I do know that
SID2MIDI output is just a guide and not to be used to add a beat and some samples to and call it a remix..
For the melody editing I'm using
Rosegarden and
MusE..
Both I don't really like all that much yet.. Might fall in love with them later though.
For the production I'm playing with
Linux MultiMedia Studio, which has nice features like
VST plugin support (with some help form
Wine).
For the SID samples I'm using
SIDPLAY2 ofcourse, I don't have the money for a HardSID or the time to fiddle with cables and my C64..
For wave editing I'm using
Audacity..
I'll post some rough versions as soon as I have stuff that's not to hard on the ears..
Well this is the
End, for now..
I found the XM back I made half a year ago..
It's unfixed SID2MIDI -> Soundtracker -> Audacity (to solve timing issues at the end)..
So the BASS line is broken, but I thought I'd post it for refference.
